Wine, perfume/cologne, and people share a profound connection in the way they are experienced. Each possesses base, middle, and top notes, exists on a spectrum of complexity, and carries an unparalleled sense of intimacy. This project aims to delve into this intricate relationship by conducting qualitative research, analyzing insights, and ultimately creating a harmonious fusion between wine, personal archetypes, and fragrances.

Step 1: Qualitative Research

Objective: Gather insights into respondents' preferences regarding taste, smell, personality descriptions, and fragrance choices.

Method: SurveyMonkey (URL: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/775MS2T).

Target Respondents: 40-50 individuals who have a keen interest in wine, fragrances, and self-expression.

Step 2: Insights and Relationship Building

Objective: Analyze survey responses to identify patterns and connections between respondents' taste preferences, personality descriptions, and fragrance choices.

Method: Thoroughly examine survey data and extract meaningful insights that highlight the interplay between people, fragrances, and wine.

Step 3: Creation of Archetypes

Objective: Develop archetypes based on the grouping of respondents' preferred experiences and how they are described by family, friends, and strangers.

Method: Group respondents based on shared preferences and personality descriptions, creating representative archetypes that capture unique combinations of taste, smell, and personal traits.

Step 4: Collaboration with Experts

Objective: Present the developed archetypes to sommeliers/wine experts and fragrance designers/experts for their input and expertise.

Method: Facilitate discussions and collaborative sessions with professionals from the wine and fragrance industries to explore suitable wine pairings for each archetype.

Step 5: Wine and Fragrance Pairing

Objective: Match each archetype with a specific wine that resonates with their characteristics, and identify a perfume or cologne that enhances and complements their intimate essence.

Method: Combine the expertise of sommeliers/wine experts and fragrance designers/experts to curate unique combinations of wine and fragrance that align with the identified archetypes. Create a mood board and a series of creative photoshoots to create a believable and visual persona.

Step 6: Interviews

Objective: Collect interviews and insights from experts in the wine and fragrance industry

Method: Select three wine stores and a handful of experts pushing the bounds in this industry

Objective: Match each archetype with a specific wine that resonates with their characteristics, and identify a perfume or cologne that enhances and complements their intimate essence.
